Business Structure:  

The Nurses for Nurses International website has three interwoven objectives:

1. Harnessing the power of Care to heal the World by connecting and empowering Nurses.
2. Increasing revenues to support and actualize the connection and empowerment of Nurses across the Globe.
3. Achieving and exceeding our expressed objectives as outlined in Our Mission.

Membership dues and eCommerce revenues are used to build the Nurses for Nurses International network, build capacity and infrastructure, provide scholarships, build primary healthcare (public health) Nursing Centers, provide appropriate technology to areas in need of Care, provide Nursing curricula to under-developed communities, work to facilitate the translation of Nursing curricula and texts, develop mentoring programs and partnerships between Nursing educators and schools across borders, and other strategies to accomplish our objectives.  

The business form has two components - one is a not-for-profit - the Hope for Haiti's Nurses Project (*currently seeking non-profit status)  is this years major undertaking - and the second is for-profit (consulting, training & education and the sales of our books). 20% of all profits from our 'for-profit' arm will go to the not-for-profit arm (for 2011-2013 this will be the HHNP).
